90 Days to a New Me Gives to Charity

Thanks for coming back! If you forgot to last time, please subscribe to my RSS Feed. We have tons of info that you will enjoy.

If you missed it in the video introduction here it is again.

My goal is to donate a minimum of $10,000 to charity every 90 days. This money will come from the monies earned by applying the training and techniques for network marketing I share here on the site. You will note that there is not a “donate here” button, Paypal account or any other method for receiving donations anywhere on this site. My earnest belief is that there will never be a need for one.

I DO NEED YOUR HELP THOUGH

I am leaving the comment section of this page open for suggestions on who we as a community should donate the funds to. By actively monitoring the posts of our most active participants, we will determine who receives the cash each quarter. Make sure to share your goals, struggles and triumphs here on the site. The benefits you get from your own self-improvement and the gains you make from building your home based business or network marketing business can directly affect the lives of those in need.

Post often and give us your most compelling reasons for the charity you are passionate about. I will in turn do three things:

1. Regularly update the amount of money earned for charitable donation

2. Regularly update the top 10 charities according to YOUR posts

3. Make all donations in the name of 90daystoanewme.com

As of 04/02/2010 the charities being considered for the donation on 07/01/2010 are as follows:

Ok, I like this idea, Ed My choice for the charity is ShowHope, founded by Steven Curtis Chapman. Their mission is to provide medical procedures and to help with grants to facilitate the adoption of orphaned Chinese children. Steven and his wife adopted 3 Chinese orphans in addition to their own 3 children.

In May of 2008, their youngest adopted daughter (Maria, 5) was killed when she was her older brother accidentally ran over her in an SUV in their driveway. Maria's memory has driven them to make even greater strides in their work, including the opening of a 6-floor building in China called “Maria's Big House of Hope,” where they are able to care for these precious “unwanted” children.

I have been touched by the heart of this charity for nearly 2 years, and I would love to know that I could be a small part of helping them to get more funding to carry on their mission

I just read your email about the “Daffodil Principle” … what a beautiful story! It fits right into the main issue (struggle) I have been having — FOCUS. I have talked myself out of certain tasks sometimes because I couldn't see the immediate results. I have found that they are the very tasks that (by now) would have produced the best and most results, had I spent time doing them over a period of time. Thank you for sharing this story with me! It's a keeper Now, I have some work to do!
